In 1957, Ronald Thompson opened a sawmill in the Darling Downs and began supplying timber to a region under construction. From those mills grew a building company — and from that, a family of companies.

Six and a half decades later, the Thompson name is built into homes, offices, retail centres and community projects across Queensland. The third generation — Brendan and Brad Thompson — leads a Sunshine Coast-headquartered group whose work spans residential, sustainable, development, and commercial construction — and a charitable foundation supporting the Sunshine Coast community.

Thompson Commercial is the group's dedicated commercial arm. We bring 69 years of family building heritage to office, retail, industrial, and multi-residential projects across South-East Queensland — with the discipline of a major builder and the accountability of a family business.
